Rise of the Minutemen -
Gameplay
My Fallout 4 world has been in the end game for a long time.I first started playing this game properly around mid 2021 and since then I have developed a basic lore of what happened in the wasteland.
I've only ever played on one character, so all of this "lore" starts off with how I played the game and what I went with on my first playthrough.

Lore
After the fall of the Institute by the strength of Maxsons Brotherhood of Steel, the Commonwealths many small townships and settlements saw this as a time for change.
During the institutes shadowy presence in Boston, the selfless organization known as the Minutemen was slowly chewing away at itself. Some could say it was the fall of Quincy, or maybe the lack of leadership. But in a matter of decades, the once proud "defenders of the Commonwealth" were no more but a part of history.
Since then, times have changed. Settlements have come together around a new age of Minutemen lead by an appointed General. Left alone by the Brotherhood of Steel, this version of the Minutemen has become the strongest faction in the Commonwealth. Why the Brotherhood as kept themselves at ease with this faction is a mystery, though rumours have been spread that the Minutemens glorious general has ties to them. This could explain why he is known as "Sentinel" by them.
In the early months of 2288 during the rebuild of the Commonwealth and the Minutemens new era of power, scouts wearing New California Republic patches were found near the western borders. From what began as small scouting teams eventually turned into a full force invasion with hundreds of NCR Vertibirds seen flying over the Commonwealth. That day was one of the biggest wins of the new Minutemen with them being able to take out nearly 90% of the NCRs invasion force. However, a large area to the west of the Commonwealth has been fortified by the remnants of that original invasion force, and since then its borders have become a stalemate for both sides of the conflict.

Castle Independence
Capital of the Minutemen
Taken back after years of neglect, "Castle Independence" stands strong as the Capital of the Commonwealths main Minutemen force.
Wastelanders often come here to trade at the castles large markets or become recruits at the application centre, both located inside of the castles 5.5 foot thick concrete walls.
Castle Independence is also the home of "Minutemen Radio" which plays 247 across the Commonwealth.

Vault City
The National Trade Centre of the Commonwealth
Vault City (Originally Vault 88) was one of Vault-Tecs abandoned vaults that was never in commision before the bombs fell. Since then, wastelanders have occupied the vault and brought it into a new age.
As much as Vault City claims, It is heavily reliant on the Minutemen, and vice-versa. Vault City proudly wears the flag of every major faction in the Commonwealth, This is mainly to keep strong (but at times shaky) relations with as many trade partners as possible.
Not many people are aware of the Minutemen activity in the Vault, especially in its old unused hydroponics section...

Egret Tours Sanctuary
On the Footstep of the NCR
This settlement is an important location for the Minutemen, the official newspaper of the Minutemen "Freedom Papers" is produced here. The minutemen often use this settlement as a temporary place to store important goods that will eventually make it to proper supply bunkers. Because of this, it's one of the most heavily guarded settlements in the Commonwealth.
As the NCR/Minutemen war rages on, Egret Tours has found itself very close to the border of the freshly taken "NCR Territory".

Tenpines Ranger Station
A humble abode
A small settlement found close to Relay Station Alpha (Zimonja). Another small settlement that shares Anti-NCR views and is willing to show it. Apart from being a place for caravans to rest near, Tenpines Ranger Station is not of vital importance to the Minutemen at this time.

Sunshine Tidings Dam Fortifications
Vital to the NCR
Originally a training camp for the Minutemen, Sunshine Tidings is what some would call the capital of the New California Republics invasion force in the Commonwealth.
Being used for military purposes only, the forts structures are all used for special purposes that bring strategic advantages to its small area. Many vehicles such as Tanks and Vertibirds are kept here. The reason why the NCR rely on this fort so much is due to the dam found next to it. This dam is of the upmost strategic importance to both the NCR and the Minutemen as whoever controls it has access to near unlimited power and purified water in the Commonwealth.
Brought with them from New Vegas, the NCR have places tonnes of propaganda around the camp to try and ease nearby locals of their invasion.
